Lavastorm and Qlik Team Up on Integrated Analytic Applications to Support Citizen Data Scientists
Analytics provider Lavastorm is partnering with Qlik, a provider of visual analytics software, to offer an integrated solution for a broader swath of users of all skill levels through Qlik Sense. With the new partnership, the companies are building an integrated platform that can be used to build advanced analytic applications that can be navigated intuitively and harness the power of both solutions without disrupting the user experience.

FICO Updates Decision Management Tools and Applications for Big Data
Analytics software firm FICO has introduced its Decision Management Suite 2.0, an expanded, cloud-based suite of analytic tools and applications for prescriptive analytics and decision management. The new release is an update to the suite which was first launched in 2013. The updated suite tackles problem the company says is common to many big data deployments - the gap between taking the vast amount of available data and translating it in to useful insights to support business decisions.

Dell Reveals New Name After Merger with EMC
The new name for Dell after it merges with EMC will be Dell Technologies, with client solutions branded as Dell, and enterprise business branded as Dell EMC. The new name was announced by Michael Dell, chairman and CEO of Dell Inc.

Qubole is announcing two major changes. It is releasing an open sourced version of its StreamX platform and forming a partnership with Looker. “Open source seems to be the perfect way in which other people can use it and also contribute back to it,” said Ashish Thusoo, CEO and co-founder of Qubole.
